If you start this tip when Junior is a toddler, you won’t
have to do much else to mess the kid up.
So here it is: Give an instruction… then when Junior does NOT obey:
Threaten.
Then instruct again, but LOUDER THIS TIME. When Junior again does not obey.
THREATEN LOUDER.
Keep this cycle going until you are YELLING AT THE
TOP OF YOUR LUNGS!!
You are not only accomplishing the task of raising a selfish
brat, but you are also providing job security for your doctor, because you will
need to see him regularly, for the blood pressure medication your body requires to
keep you from exploding from all the HOLLERING.
At this point Junior knows you WILL NOT keep your word, and your doctor knows you WILL keep your appointment.
Good job, you are killing two birds with one stone. Junior
is well on his way to the point of no return.
Keep up the good work.
Proverbs 15:5, “The fool despises his father’s instruction, but
whoever heeds reproof is prudent.”
