Complete sweetness.
Quiet.
Morning.
I like to keep our
mornings hushed and still until all the tired has cleared from my kids’ brains.
No music.
No TV.
No background noise.
Just snuggles, hugs,
kisses and the clinking of spoons on cereal bowls. I like simple mornings. It
makes for a good beginning.
But life does not
always go as planned especially when kids are involved, so I stay mentally prepared for "my plans" to unravel. It helps me stay cheerful when I don't get my way.
What do your mornings
look like with your kids?
Soul Shaping Challenge:
A mother’s calm, happy presence in the morning as she serves her children has
the power to instill courage into their souls.
Make sure mornings in
your home are filled with peace. YOU are in charge of the atmosphere. YOU set
the tone. If the TV is blaring, there will be a sense discontentment, unrest
and chaos. Let QUIET fill the air in the morning. Shape your children to be
considerate of family members that take a while to WAKE UP—This teaches them to
respect others.
Memorize with your kids Proverbs 27:14, “He who blesses his friend with a loud voice early in the morning, It will be reckoned a curse to him.”
